Participant Comments

Many thanks for having invited me as a speaker to the Tech Policy Talks online event. It really was a pleasure to contribute to the discussion with the other panelists.

Michael Vorländer, Head of Unit, Education and Research, Permanent Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany

Lively discussion on the conditions needed to advance the digital transition in Europe. We have what it takes in order to become a digital leader, but it is high time to step up our game.

Liesje Schreinemacher, Member, European Parliament

When we speak about AI we should not only focus on the ethical requirements but also on the disruptive effects it has on any industry. We need agile policymaking, which enables innovation, data access & cooperation across sectors, so we reap the benefits of technology.

Eva Maydell, Member, European Parliament

Skills and high level software engineering, connectivity (5G and Fibre) and Data flow across European Union for artificial intelligence, here are my main suggestions for innovations! EU must invest into R&D and European Research Area and happy to do so in line with European Commission.

Miapetra Kumpula-Natri, Member, European Parliament

I liked the diverse speaker positions which provided a good overview of the challenges and possible solutions.

Alexander Kühn, Deputy Head of Section International Spectrum Affairs, BNetzA
